A cappella Publisher Desc.  La Pajara Pinta is based on a children song of the Dominican Republic where Mr. Rodriguez grew up, but this song it can be found throughout many Latin-American countries. The setting, dressed in fugato style, renders a unique pallet of vocal colors for choirs to display their ensemble skills. Historically, the original melody of the song varies by regions but the one used in this version is what children sang during the years of the early life of the composer (1960 - 1970). The lyrics also have many versions depending on the geographical area.
