These songs celebrate the redemptive work of Christ through offering of His blood as an ordinance of the church. It stands alone to be sung during the celebration of the Lords table or in a concert setting. When sung during communion I picture the choir interacting with the leader in a way that allows the music to set an atmosphere for worship. The choir can sing a portion of the song before communion during or after.
