Sighting at Loch Ness
A dramatic, mysterious, descriptive work in E minor, Sighting at Loch Ness is aimed at increasing musicianship in the orchestra. The first violin melody incorporates Scottish-sounding ornamentation and shifting. Violins perform glissandi to harmonics in preparation for shifting. If you have a fog machine, there might be some Nessie sightings in your own performance venue! Includes optional harp/piano.
