Fugue in C minor
Publisher Desc.
This intricate little fugue is taken from Johann Christian Bach's Six
Sonatas for Pianoforte (Opus 5, No. 6).
The fugue is the second movement of the sixth sonata in this
collection. J.C. Bach was the
eighteenth child and the youngest of eleven sons of the great Johann
Sebastian Bach. Even though J.C. Bach
was a major composer of the second half of the 18th century, you can
certainly hear the influence of the excellent contrapuntal training he
received from his father.
