Allegro from Sonata in E minor
Publisher Desc.
Mozart composed over thirty violin sonatas which were written over a period that basically spanned his life. Of the later sonatas, this is the only one that is entirely in a minor key. It is consequently dark, brooding and full of explosive energy. Spiccato and martele articulations, so important to Classical style playing, abound in this work.
