Zanzibar

Zanzibar is an exciting extended work for big band with solos for trombone, trumpet, and drums. After a brief, slow and moody introduction, the chart romps through various styles including a jazz samba, funk, medium swing, and very fast swing. Lead trumpet has some optional high Gs, alto sax 1 doubles on soprano, and optional trumpet 5 and trombone 4 parts are included. A powerful and melodic composition for mature bands.
