Widors Toccata is a favourite in the organ repertoire. It is often
played on important occasions in churches and cathedrals and has a very
pompous, grand sound. I have taken care to maintain this sound in this
arrangement whilst also making it challenging yet satisfying to play. Can
also be played by multiple players per part by a larger string orchestra,
with the 'cello part doubled on bass in octaves.
