The Daffodils

Delicate as a daffodil, this lightly lilting setting of a famous poem by William Wordsworth is an excellent choice for developing part-singing skills.  Reminiscent of madrigal style, it uses "fa la la" passages to enhance the sweet, lyrical feeling.  "I wandered lonely as a cloud that floats o'er vales and hills, when all at once I saw a crowd of golden daffodils..."  This is a marvelous concert or festival piece for treble voices!
