Welcome to Bourbon Street! Part of the First Place for Jazz Series, this New Orleans party groove is sure to get everyone moving. At about 200 bpm, the groove is clearly established in the rhythm section right out of the gate. With nice call-and-response statements, the brass play the melody answered by the saxes. The open solos are on the blues and can be played by anyone with the included scale sheets or the written solos provided in all the parts. Additional features include hand claps, band chants, and reduced or expanded instrumentation options. It's all here, it's exciting, and it's fun!
