Rounds Plus

Rounds are a wonderful way to introduce harmony to young singers! However, traditional rounds often have too wide a range for changing voices, so this collection was created with the male changing voice in mind. Fun and easy-to-sing ostinatos for the changing male voice accompany ten familiar rounds sung by treble voices. Additionally, each round is presented with two key options to accommodate the cambiata, mid-voice and new baritone range comfortably. Experiment with other keys until you find your choirs' sweet spot vocally. This experimentation will give you a good idea of the range and tessitura that will be effective for your group, which you can then apply to your choral literature selection process. This reproducible collection of unaccompanied rounds may be taught entirely by ear or duplicated for sight-reading purposes.
