Bill Holman, well known for his solo features, originally arranged this iconic tenor saxophone feature, Out of Nowhere, for Bill Perkins and the Stan Kenton Orchestra in the mid 50s. Set as an up-tempo swing chart, tenor saxophone is featured throughout and has lots of solo space to make this tune its own. Combine that with a cookin' rhythm section and great swinging ensemble passages, this chart is really happening! This new Finale edition provides cleaner, more correct parts and is easier to read with better page turns. The edited version is exactly the same as the pro version except it is written for 8 brass instead of 10. The brass ranges are reasonable in both versions with the highest note for trumpet being a written D.
