On the Maidan, on the Market

Here is a Ukrainian Christmas picture of a fairground with a festively decorated pine tree around which young people have gathered. There are jokes, laughter, flirting - all captured in the dance-like musical character of the piece, emphasized by the presence of a tambourine and hand drum accompanying the singing. In the beginning we see the picture as if from afar, approaching the square where the fun takes place, gradually increasing the variations. The song ends with merry laughter, joyfully painted in the vocal lines.
