Lightspeed

From the opening notes, everyone will know the race is on! This high-velocity piece is built almost entirely on fast moving-staccato eighth notes. It's inspired by pointillism, a painting technique which uses numerous discrete dots of color to form a distinct image. The overall effect of the music is that of an energetic thrill ride that is as much fun for the audience as it is for the performers.
