Kolyada

Consisting of English lyrics with just one Slavic word, this traditional Eastern European carol celebrates the holiday tradition of singing and sharing good tidings with neighbors and friends. It sings like a madrigal, with flowing independent harmonic lines in a polyphonic texture. A cappella, with optional percussion for triangle, tambourine, and hand drum, it is a wonderful way to learn about and spread festive cheer.
