I'm Always Chasing Rainbows

This great standard gets an easy treatment for young jazzers. It's a straight-eighth ensemble ballad that's played at about 90 bpm with the emphasis focused on melodic playing. A tasteful written solo for trumpet establishes the style in the beginning before the full ensemble develops the chart. Additionally, a swing section offers great contrast and interest. Optional parts for expanded instrumentations include flute, clarinet, horn in F and tuba. Nice chart!
