This flute and piano arrangement has a lovely piano countermelody at the beginning and then the flute plays the first and second verses against it- but not the chorus. We don't get a chorus until the third verse and then WOW. The flute goes up to the high G with 'He Lives.' And while holding that G, the piano plays the rest of the sentence. It's a statement of testimony.
Flutists will need a gorgeous high g and the piano part has lots of arpeggios and chords.
It's a lovely and satisfying setting of the hymn 'I Know That My Redeemer Lives.'
Please listen to the mp3. The flute is real, but the piano is computer. When I'm able to get a recording with an acoustic accompanist, I'll substitute it in. In the meantime, it will help you know what it sounds like. Enjoy!
