This brilliant Frank Foster arrangement was written for the Count Basie Orchestra and recorded live in Detroit in 1992 for the "Basie's Bag" album. Foster takes this 1974 Cedar Walton tune and turns it into a tour-de-force that is full of harmonic substitutions, rhythmic variations, and dynamic shifts. Featured are solos for a tenor saxophone soloist (originally played by Foster), trombone, and trumpet. There are no saxophone doubles, but trumpets briefly double on flugelhorns.
