Fast-Paced Life

The metaphor of life as a race is explored in this complete show for either mixed or treble choir. The theme can be interpreted as the rat race of going to work, the feeling of competing against others for success, or even the days and years of one's life as the race to be run. Major life events can be viewed as checkpoints along the course. This show combines all of these ideas, taking stock of the things achieved along the way, celebrating the excitement of winning, and looking ahead to what's yet to come. Musical genres featured in the show include a funk rock opener, a dramatic Broadway-style change of pace, an EDM number, a gospel-pop ballad, and a dance-pop closer.
