Etude in D Sharp Minor Op. 8 No. 12

This famous Etude was written in 1894 and its dramatic flavor is made the more technically challenging by large left hand chords and abundant chord repetition, jumps in the left hand, and numerous right hand melodic octaves. This Murray Baylor edition features footnotes pointing out dynamic differences between the published and the autograph versions of the work.
