The Encore Music was a spur-of-the-moment project. I was inspired when I was listening to a recording of the "Can-Can" by the United States Marine Band (and I think written by MGySgt Thomas Knox). The way he had the woodwinds flying all over creation encouraged me to try to emulate him (Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery). Well, I can never equal Knox, so I did the next best thing and followed his style of "flying woodwinds", mostly flutes and clarinets, but also adding alto saxophones and xylophone. This is a fairly short piece, about a minute and thirty seconds long. But when played at the tempo indicated (quarter note = 160), you will "wow" your audience.
