Lemon Henry "Blind Lemon" Jefferson (1893 – 1929) born in Coutchman, Texas was an American blues and gospel singer, songwriter, and musician. He was one of the most popular blues singers of the 1920s and has been called the "Father of the Texas Blues". A very fluid and accomplished guitarist with a unique voice, Jefferson is know for his songs, "Black Snake Moan", "Match Box Blues" and "See That My Grave is Kept Clean", "Easy Rider Blues" and more.
