Reproducing the sound of traditional Indian instrumental ensembles, this vocal adaptation uses Hindi text and nonsense syllables to mimic the shruti box, percussion, and melodic instruments present in the traditional Indian raga. Droning at the root and fifth with held syllables and harmonic overtones, the vocal lines dance over the texture with smoothly flowing melodies and percussive syllables to create the total effect.
