The Colonel Bogey March is a famous British march by F.J. Ricketts whose pen name was Kenneth Alford. Ricketts wrote this march in 1914 as a bandmaster in the British Army. He later became the director of music for the Royal Marines. The march tune has been used for television and movies, most notably in the movie The River Kwai.
