This excellent technical resource includes all major and minor scales, triads, arpeggios, dominant sevenths, and chromatic scales in a simple, clearly laid out format. Fingerings, patterns found among scales, and practice suggestions are also provided. The book is divided into three sections: major keys, minor keys, and supplementary scales. The major key scales are presented in parallel and contrary motions, separated by thirds and sixths, and in double thirds. Harmonic minor scales are presented parallel and contrary motions. Melodic minor scales are presented in parallel motion only. Major and minor chords are offered in triads, four-note form, arpeggios, dominant seventh chords, and dominant seventh arpeggios. �The supplementary section contains the chromatic scale, legato octaves, staccato octaves and alternate fingerings.
