This chart sounds much more difficult than it is. A blues variation in 13/4 over a hard rock ostinato, the V chord area shifts to 12/8 (dotted quarter remains constant). Sections are scored as units, for the most part. Solo changes appear in bari sax, guitar and piano parts, but could go anywhere. There is scored solo space for electric bass, as well as two collective improvisations. The tune is kicked off by a Tenor 1 cadenza (could be guitar, or anyone) leading to the ostinato. Lead Trumpet goes to written E, Trombone 1 to A. Soloists: Tenor 1; Bari Sax, Guitar, Piano (or anyone); Electric Bass. No woodwind doubles. Brass: 5 trumpets, 4 trombones.
