Alla Danza Tedesca (German dance) is the fourth of six movements in Beethoven's quartet, Op. 130, composed in 1826, the year before his death. While the complex original is simplified here, the delightful character is maintained. Following the form of standard quartets, all parts have interest as they weave back and forth with imitative motives. Effective dynamics and three-beat slurs make great teaching points in all parts.
