Publisher Desc.  An adaptation of the horn quartet, it was written at the request of a good friend after seeing the horn quartet. It is a grade 4 piece and is approximately 5 minutes long and makes for a good piece for high schoolers, collegiate players, or even professional groups. Originally written for a senior recital, "To Higher Peaks" and was originally written as a testament to the best of what the horn has to offer before being adapted for a brass quintet and the strengths of each instrument within. The composer was artistically inspired by the Rocky Mountains and the development matches the climb it takes to scale one. Written at a level for all skill sets and ages, "To Higher Peaks" hopes to push performers to their next level of playing and it is dedicated to a teacher who does just that.
