The Weaver
This presentation is both a cantata and theatrical concert work in the style of works by Honeggar, Copeland, or Bernstein. The story depicts the creator of the universe as a weaver, the world as a tapestry, that with the entrance of human sin breaks the threads distorting the original plan. The coming of a savior gives all a chance to reconnect the threads as originally envisioned. Performance suggestions are included, with options to simplify the work if desired, making it accessible to a wide variety of collegiate, church, community, and professional choirs. 40 minutes.
