The Churn
Publisher Desc.
Written in E minor, The Churn was written with the trials and challenges of the medieval period in mind for beginning to early orchestras. It is in response to students' love of Dragon Slayer by Rob Grice. Throughout the piece, each section has the opportunity to play a form of the melody, sometimes in unison with another section. It is well-suited for a standard or large cello section as it has an optional second cello part. A student named this piece "The Churn" aptly describing the mix of sounds and emotions in the piece.
