Of the Father's Love Begotten

(12-Bell Ensemble)
Prudentius, Marcus Aurelius C /arr. Mark Lewis - Mark Lewis
Publisher Desc.  Enjoy the haunting melody of this 13th century Plainsong by Marcus Aurelius C. Prudentius. The text of "Of the Father's Love Begotten" is an ancient Roman poem by Prudentius but the tune often used is the Plainsong "Divinum myserium." This arrangement is for 12 bell ensemble by Mark R Lewis and even though there are several time signature changes, it is relatively simple. The changes in time signature are simply an artifact of the fact that old chants make the music follow the text and do not force the text to fit the music. In the accompanying video, we have added singing bell on C4 and G4 but this addition is optional for the performance.
