Publisher Desc.  Inspired by the world's most famous table top roleplaying game, "Of Swords & Sorcery" reflects the composer's experiences during multiple sessions of playing at home with friends. The first movement, "Into the Fray," represents rushing into the jaws of danger and adventure. The excitement is broken up with a suspenseful interlude before the tension breaks in a presto section at the end of the movement. The second movement, "City of Splendors," is a dance movement that represents the sights of a medieval market or fair from the perspective of one wandering through it. The final movement, "Journey's End," is a triumphal march in a Williams-esque style that represents the successful conclusion of the adventure.
