Written with the idea to use contemporary jazz harmonies, with no V-I cadences, but still accessible to developing jazz artists, Modern Swing is a great change of pace tune to add to your repertoire. It sounds more difficult than it is, but will challenge the band with interesting counterpoint, dissonant harmonies and chord progressions. The optional open solo section features a sample solo scored in the trumpet 1 part and chord changes are included in all the parts.
