Haydn Bassoon Chaconne
Publisher Desc.
A woodwind quintet arrangement based on a bassoon passage in the minuet in Haydn's Sixth Symphony. A longer version, Chaconne on Haydn's Sixth Symphony Bassoon Passage, for two bassoons and chamber orchestra is available separately. The beginning and ending are taken directly from Haydn's writing for bassoon and strings. Between these, various arrangements accompany the passage, which gets played by other instruments as well as the bassoon. A favorite arrangement could be labeled "Americana" since it includes references to My Darling Clementine and Stars and Stripes Forever. Duration: 5 minutes. The sound clip is computer-generated.
