This piece is based on an African folk song.  "Farewell, my friend.  Peace go with you traveling far and near.  Remember us.  Think of all our smiling faces here.  Return to us..."  The parts for optional flute and Orff instruments lend a beautiful touch to the modal flavor of this emotional choral, which is especially appropriate for graduation.
