Publisher Desc.  Like most band directors across the United States my school bands would march in the local Memorial Day parade. I always made sure my students understood the reason why we observed Memorial Day and why the parade always ended in a cemetery with a trumpet player playing taps while a wreath was being placed at a war monument. This work is dedicated to all of the patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. May they never be forgotten.
