Diademata

(Hymn Fantasia Based on Crown With Many Crowns)
George J. Elvey /arr. John Thompson - JT BandMusic
Publisher Desc.  This exciting, energetic piece is perfect for concert or festival! 'Diadem' means crown; Diademata is based on the hymn tune 'Crown Him With Many Crowns'. The opening is fast and flashy, followed by a slower second verse. Clarinets are featured atop the chordal background. A Da Capo recaps the faster section. This piece is MUCH easier than it sounds. The opening fanfare section sounds technical but the parts will fall under students fingers very quickly; the sixteenth notes are just an E-flat concert scale! Ranges are very reasonable and the piece could be played by most middle school or any high school band.
