Crown Point
Publisher Desc.
Crown Point is the sister march to my Perils of Victory concert march
that was written in the style and structure of John Philip Sousa. It includes
the typical Sousa segments: Intro, 1st and 2nd strains, trio, break-up and
grandioso strains. It contains many fanfare-like phrases throughout. It is
intended to be played in a very majestic, dignified manner no matter what the
tempo. It was composed as a military ceremonial march, pass-in-review event,
or a parade march. This march was named after the Crown Point scenic
observation structure near Portland, Oregon overlooking the beautiful
Columbia Gorge.
NOTES: 9x12 score & parts. Grade
