Publisher Desc.  Chorales of Composers For Band is a unique collection of 36 works by the most recognized composers from Tallis to Holst. Introduce your students to these important writers and themes as they warm up in the beginning of class. Designed to save you time and money these masterworks are set in ten books: a tabloid sized score, and nine 8.5 x 11 books representing sections of a typical concert band. Most of the books can be used for stand alone ensembles. The instrument books are scored as follows: flute and double reeds, clarinet ensemble, sax ensemble, piano, trumpets and treble clef baritone, French horns, low brass, mallets, and percussion. You may want to use some of these compositions in performances, such as Adoration by Florence Price or the Prayer from Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel.
