Publisher Desc.  "Bolder" was commissioned by the Kentucky Music Educators Association for the 2024 All-State Band and in memory of past KMEA president George Boulden III (1961-2022). "Bolder" is both a bold celebration and a tender remembrance of his life. The title refers to living with strength and courage. "Bolder" opens and closes with bright, strong fanfare music. Near the middle of the work, there is slow, pensive music, including a brief moment featuring the trombones, George's primary instrument.
