Blessed Is the Man
This first movement of "Cinematic Psalms" is a programmatic journey of faith through God's Old Testament hymn book, a deep, cinematic concert worship experience of epic proportions. The musical influences of "Cinematic Psalms" begin with Handel's "Messiah," Stravinsky's "Symphony of Psalms," Bernstein's "MASS," Brubeck's "Light in the Wilderness," Yanni's "Live at the Acropolis," and legendary soundtracks of major motion pictures. The textual influences are derived from the 150 psalms written by King David, Moses, Asaph, and other anonymous writers.
