Lux Aeterna
When this magnificent choral work made its debut in 1997, it was immediately recorded by the Los Angeles Master Chorale and received a Grammy nomination. Since then, it has earned a place in the choral repertoire as one of the most significant musical statements of the 20th century. The a cappella movement O Nata Lux is a pristine example of Lauridsen's compositional style, and the combined effect of Lauridsen's soaring melodies and clustered harmonic textures is truly ethereal. A work of uncompromising beauty for the accomplished choir.
