Born in 1989, Alvin Trotman has quickly become sought after as a composer, conductor, and clinician. His inspiring compositions have continued to rise to the forefront of contemporary choral repertoire. Many of his choral works are often included in music conference reading sessions as well as state and festival lists. As an award-winning composer, his musical works have sold thousands of copies around the world and have been performed by some of the most premier vocal ensembles and orchestras in the United States and internationally.

With a background in music education, Alvin has worked with students of all ages - from elementary to college and thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to work with today's youth in shaping a new generation of musicians. Known for his innovative and evocative writing style, he continues to be in request by choirs and orchestras.

Alvin received his M.M. in Composition from Southern Methodist University where he studied with Robert Frank and Simon Sargon.
