Publisher Desc.  Windmills was inspired by quartets from such composers as Ravel, Debussy, Faure, Borodin, Tchaikovsky and Dvorak as well as newer works by Caroline Shaw, Chris Thile and others. The four movements can be played together or as separate stand-alone works. Movement IV. First Light presents a hopeful theme that begins in Eb Major and evolves through texture and meter changes before returning to its home key of C Major.
