Wasserfahrt
Heinrich Heine was a favorite poet for Mendelssohn. In Wasserfahrt, or "waterway" in English, Heine provides a pictorial poetry that Mendelssohn seizes upon. Throughout this short piece, the listener senses the insistent rocking of the boat and slapping of the water. This arrangement for male voices adds to the growing number of masterworks now available for male singers. Pronunciation guide and translations are provided.
