This energized original is the inaugural piece in a series of concert etudes for handbells. Each piece takes one or two specific technical concepts and sets them in music appropriate for late intermediate to advanced handbell ensembles. They are designed to be friendly to an audience while also developing or showcasing specific skills. This first piece is a study in rhythm and endurance. Intense and prolonged segments of fast passagework, syncopated rhythms, and changing meter abound in this exciting work.
