The Journey Suite is a musical depiction of composer Marcus Printup's first days as a college student in the newly implemented Jazz Performance program at the University of North Florida. In four movements, he shows us the soulfulness of his family helping him move from their hometown Conyers, GA to Jacksonville, FL, to the sizing up and testing in UNF's first Big Band, to closing out with the beautiful words of wisdom on how to approach performing one's solo by their director, the incomparable Rich Matteson. This is his journey.
