Publisher Desc.  Note: This is the second movement of "The Caliph Suite for Orchestra". It is scored for strings and woodwind section including F-horns. Brass and percussion are tacit. Picture the desert beneath a starry night sky! Strings and woodwinds provide the setting to feature a lovely duet between the oboe and flute. The string section begins softly introducing a short oboe solo. The flute then plays the main theme, joined by the oboe. The strings and woodwinds then echo the theme before the flute and oboe reprise as the scene fades.
