Commissioned by clarinet virtuoso Robert Spring, Solar Flair has received multiple performances by Dr. Spring and others in the U.S., Canada, Great Britain and China and was awarded honorable mention in the 2005 ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer's Competition. Solar Flair was also performed at the 2008 Clarinetfest in Kansas City, MO by Robert Spring and Jana Starling.
