Resolve
A cappella
Publisher Desc.
Commissioned and recorded by The Crossing directed by Donald Nally.
Length = 4:20 Initially this song was composed as a call to return to
resolutions made for anti-racism after the murder of George Floyd. Later the song was also programmed within a
setting of works on the extinction of bird species. The meaning of the words changes given
different contexts, but the call to lean into the discomfort of our times, to
engage with change rather than growing numb or hopeless in the face of
seemingly insurmountable challenges remains.
"Increase your discomfort to find your joy."
