Up-and-coming award-winning composer Kara Stacey delivers a refreshingly vibrant take on the traditional Robert Burns poem. Set for treble voices in two and then three parts with an optional solo or small group joining the texture, the lilting melody and well-crafted harmonies are supported by an energetic piano accompaniment and some extra rhythmic interest from a tapped tambourine.
